Claudia Pastomás has a degree in Fine Arts and has recently graduated with a Masters in Artistic Production from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
Her artistic production is based on the pictorial and the installation. In his work he shows the processes of a medium that has been relegated, working with waste, limits and matter itself to explore how the paradigm has changed in relation to commercial production, reconstructing links between forms, materials and the obsolete to think about how they are activated in the present. A line of research and artistic production motivated by the search for new perceptions that revise traditional carpentry production.
She has participated in solo exhibitions such as Coraza y Ornamento in the Saceca space, Sagunto; Strange attractors, as part of the Contemporary Artistic Creation Award in the Quart de Poblet space, and Contra-Desborde, in the Algo Algo space, Valencia, as well as group exhibitions such as Generación-Z, in the WeCollect gallery, Madrid, Cuadernos de… in the Galeria Arniches 26, Madrid, in the Artists’ Book Present, based on printmaking. Za Szklem Gallery, Warsaw, Poland, or ‘PAMPAM23’, at the Atarazanas del Grau, Valencia. He is currently participating in the collective exhibition Miradas Abiertas at the Centro del Carmen, Valencia, as part of Abierto Valencia 2024.
She has recently been awarded the scholarship of the II Call of the Bodegas Faustino & Willy Ramos Chair, destined for Paris, the first prize at the International Graphic Art Fair in Bilbao and the first prize at the International Art Competition of the Salvador Victoria Foundation.
