Alba Abellán (Valencia, 1992) is a visual artist. She studied Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and later obtained an official Master’s degree in Artistic Production. During these years she received several scholarships that allowed her to complete her training in drawing and graphic processes at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych in Gdansk (Poland) and in Art&Design at the Higher School of Art and Technology.
Her artistic practice focuses on graphic experimentation. Therefore, the creative process is a fundamental part of her work. She is not so much interested in the final result as in the working process itself, giving free rein to what emerges in the moment and allowing the work itself to evolve until the end.
In this way the artist creates a series of unique pieces, the result of an experimental process in which she plays with the transfer of organic textures in a very personal way. With her work she wants to create a possible landscape, back to nature.
Her work has been exhibited at the Paris College of Art (France), Urzad Marszałkowski (Poland), the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, the CCCC Centro del Carmen de Cultura Contemporánea and at fairs such as the SWAB Barcelona Art Fair and JustMad.
